Outdoor Post Lights- Buy the Pole Lighting

Sometimes it may seem obvious that outdoor post lights are the only option when it comes to outdoor, lighting. Other times, it may not be so obvious. There are times when it may seem cheaper or more efficient to skip the posts. However, they can surprise you if you take all things into consideration such as flexibility in location and height. This can come in very handy in certain situations and in the end make for a better choice if it is possible to use other kinds of lights. It just takes a little extra thought, effort, time, and consideration.

It may seem obvious but bears mentioning that if there is nothing else around for a light to be mounted on, then outdoor post lights are the only option. For example, there is not usually anything around for lights to be mounting on around a baseball field. Post lights work great hear for a couple of reasons. One is of course that they are mounted on posts, but they can also be made tall enough to avoid foul balls. Trying to mount lights on any buildings nearby would only cost more money in the long run because they would not be close enough or tall enough to work. This means more lights would have to be purchased for more money.

Another time when it may not seem so obvious that outdoor post lights may work well is when other lights are already mounted on existing structures. Though lights are already there, there may very well be blind spots. Take a look around and see if you notice any dark corners that someone could hide. Better yet, take a friend and see if they can find somewhere that you are not able to see them. Installing posts can illuminate those areas because they can be placed wherever they need to be.

The fact is, outdoor post lights deserve some thought even if they seem to not be what you are looking for. When you consider their flexibility and the need, they very well may be the most efficient regardless of the perceived greater cost. Take the extra time to look around and consider what is needed, consider where your dark areas are, and consider any special location or height requirements. Then consider how important lighting is in the area. At that point you should be able to make an informed decision as to whether or not posts are right for you.
