The 74P7903-011-P 70 Watt High Pressure Sodium 120V Postline Ballast from Philips Advance is one of the leading products when it comes to pole lighting or lantern type fixtures. With its special design, it comes with an elongated core and coil ballast, both potted in resin, and then secured in a cylindrical can with a 2.55 inch outside diameter. This construction makes it the perfect ballast to fit inside any fixture mounted in a 3" pole. This pole mounted ballast also comes with all the wire leads necessary to connect it to a photocell. The capacitor and ignitor are also encased within the cylinder housing.

To make this Postline S62 Ballast easy to install, there is a half inch threaded nipple that can be used for vertical mounting. Leads can extend from both ends of the can. The input leads to the transformer also provide for proper connection to a photocell.
